Process of Eruption

The tooth development process in humans is known as an eruption.

Primary teeth

Far and wide, primary teeth take six months to two years of age to erupt, and they last till the age of seven.

Mix stage

In this stage, the human mouth contains a combination of primary and permanent teeth; permanent tooth begins to erupt, and primary ones start defunct.

The periodontal ligaments (a group of specialized connective tissue fibers that primarily attach a tooth to the alveolar bone within which it resides) play a pivotal role in the development of teeth.

Dental Hygiene Tips

Dental Hygiene is highly recommendable. With the help of proper dental care, people can prevent many dental problems. So, here are a few tips for maintaining healthy teeth.

Brush Regularly but Correctly

You have to brush twice a day by using correct techniques, some of them are in the list below:

  • Use soft-bristled toothbrush as a hard-bristled toothbrush can cause tooth sensitivity, damage to the enamel, or gum erosion.
  • Every brushing cycle should be 2 to 3 minutes long.
  • One should always move the brush in small circular motions to precisely clean the front, back, and top of every tooth. (Do not forget to brush tongue side of your tooth.)
  • Include brushing on your tongue in your routine; it also consists of bacteria to clean.

Selection of Toothpaste

Choose toothpaste according to your requirement. A variety of toothpaste available in the market, some major types are as follows.

Fluoride Toothpaste – Suitable for cavity problem.

Fluoride strengthens enamels, protect them from plaque acid, and remineralize the damaged teeth (teeth embark decaying).

Tartar Control Toothpaste – Recommended for the tarter prone teeth.

It contains zinc citrate and pyrophosphate as the active elements which help in the removal of plaque, kill the mouth bacteria, and scale down the tartar accumulation.

Sensitivity Toothpaste – It is the right product for the people who have a sensitivity problem.

Sensitivity is a sharp pain experience by the consumption of any cold or hot drink and food.

It has strontium chloride and potassium nitrate that can block the tubule’s pathways and protect teeth nerve centers. Mostly the product takes a few weeks for satisfactory results.

Whitening Toothpaste – An ideal product for the people who either consume tea, coffee, etc. daily or are suffering from aging or yellowing of teeth.

These products consist of more abrasive agents that scrub out stains from your teeth, plus help in lessening the appearance of those stains. Also, smokers can consider these toothpastes for yellowish-brown patches caused by tobacco tar on their teeth.

Abrasive agents are firm, insoluble particles. They can be aluminum oxide or calcium pyrophosphate carbonates.

Kids Toothpaste – Specially for kids.

Kids teeth do not need the same powerful cleaning in comparison to adult teeth. Moreover, elements present in adult toothpaste are sometimes harmful to kids. Additionally, kids are pickier than adults in case of taste, texture, and consistency. For these reasons, many brands offer kids toothpaste range separately.

Accompany Flossing with Brushing

Flossing is an essential part of oral hygiene. It boosts the cleaning process one level up; it kicks out the stuck food and scrapes plaque away. But it is important to floss correctly; because improper flossing damages your teeth and gums.

Add Mouthwash in your Everyday Oral Hygiene Routine

Mouthwash is not as important as brushing or flossing are, but it props up your oral health. Some of the benefits of using mouthwash are:

  • Lessens the plaque and bacteria besieging in your mouth.
  • Clear debris settled between your teeth.
  • Some whitening mouthwashes help remove stains from the teeth.

Bed Time Brushing Habit

Your last meal leftover food contains particles that can boost the bacteria growth, which leads to plaque buildup, tooth decay, and gum disease. Because of this, dentists recommend brushing your teeth right before bedtime.

Dentist Visits

Periodic dental examinations are necessary; this habit can help prevent many dental diseases. Experts advised one can visit the dentist at least one time in between every six months.
